Ed undertook a Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Chichester, after which he completed an MSc in Historic Conservation at Oxford Brookes University, graduating in September 2021. During this time, he specialised in the study of building ‘anatomy’, focusing primarily upon the medieval and early modern built environments.
Prior to joining The Townscape Consultancy, Ed was part of the Heritage and Townscape team at Savills and later at Vitruvius Heritage, where he produced Heritage Statements, HTVIA documents, Enabling Development schemes, photographic surveys and historic building appraisals. In addition, he has also supported directors on a number of planning appeals and public inquiries. Ed joined the Townscape Consultancy in April 2023 and specialises in the production of heritage, townscape and visual impact assessments, heritage assessments and other related works.
