Lucas holds a degree in Architecture from the Oxford Brookes School of Architecture and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Building History at the University of Cambridge, where his dissertation explores the development of mansion blocks in late-Victorian Battersea.
Before joining The Townscape Consultancy in July 2025, he spent eight years working as an architectural designer at practices across London, with a particular focus on high-end residential projects. At The Townscape Consultancy, Lucas undertakes historic and baseline research for a range of projects and contributes to the preparation of heritage, townscape, and visual impact assessment reports. Through this work, he continues to develop a nuanced understanding of different approaches to the historic environment and gains valuable insight into London’s varied townscapes. He brings to his role as a Junior Consultant a strong foundation in architectural research and analysis, underpinned by a well-informed appreciation of architectural design principles.
