Stephanie trained in Art and Building History, with degrees from the University of St Andrews and the University of Cambridge. She has a particular interest in the adaptive reuse of buildings that have outlived their original or previous function. At TTC, she works with architects to ensure their designs are contextual and sympathetic to the significance of site and setting.
Prior to joining TTC in July 2022, Stephanie worked as a research assistant, heritage and townscape consultant, and completed a 1-month placement as a Conservation Officer at Greater Cambridge Shared Planning. In her consultant role, she worked on a range of projects which included building recordings, heritage statements, environmental statements, and heritage, townscape, and visual impact assessments (HTVIAs). She also worked closely with local conservation groups in Cambridge, reviewing and commenting on development applications.
Stephanie continues to develop her knowledge, and is currently completing the Professional Development Diploma (PDD) in Historic Building Conservation & Repair at West Dean College.
Advising on development for sensitive projects at a variety of scales, Stephanie brings an eye for detail and a thorough understanding of site and history to her work at TTC.
