300 Gray’s Inn Road, a comprehensive remodelling of a 1970s office and annex building, to provide both office and residential accommodation, designed by Haptic Architects, was granted planning consent in October 2023.

The scheme retrofits the existing buildings and includes a lightweight extension, increasing the floor area of the original building, sustainably. This is a good example of how a retrofit scheme can successfully upgrade a tired but structurally sound building where the architectural approach transforms the aesthetic of the original building and is an improvement within the townscape.
