Emma Shaw

BA

Junior Consultant

Emma holds Classics degree from the University of Oxford and is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Building History at The University of Cambridge. As part of the course, she has studied landscape and area assessments and the management of the setting of heritage assets. Before joining The Townscape Consultancy in May 2024, Emma worked at The Heritage Alliance, a position that gave her an awareness of recent developments in the heritage and planning sectors. At The Townscape consultancy, Emma conducts historic and baseline research for projects and supports in the production of heritage, townscape, and visual impact assessment documents. This helps her gain a greater understanding of different approaches to the historic environment, and to working with London’s varied townscapes.
