Sally is a Consultant who specialises in the production of townscape and heritage assessments. She joined The Townscape Consultancy in May 2023, and has produced numerous Heritage Statements and Heritage, Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments for a variety of projects across London, including within Westminster. As part of this, she has analysed the significance of several listed buildings, in support of carefully judged and proportionate interventions into historic fabric.  Sally studied History at the University of St Andrews, and holds a master’s degree in Building History from the University of Cambridge.  She worked previously for the Property Section of the Royal Household where she supported surveyors, engineers, and project managers with their work.

Past Projects:

  • 77 Grosvenor Street, City of Westminster – Alterations to existing building in Conservation Area, including roof extension. Assisted with production of Heritage, Townscape and Visual Impact Assessment.
  • 5-10 Great Tower Street, City of London – Alterations to existing building adjacent to Conservation Area and close to World Heritage Site, including roof extension. Assisted with production of Heritage, Townscape and Visual Impact Assessment.
  • The Lanesborough Hotel, City of Westminster – Alterations to existing Grade II* listed building within a Conservation Area, including internal alterations and extension. Produced Heritage Impact Assessment with Statement of Significance.
