Redevelopment of Shell Centre site at Waterloo to include two new commercial buildings, four residential blocks (rising to 36 storeys) and enhanced public realm while retaining the existing Shell Tower. The redevelopment required the demolition of the lower wings of the locally listed Shell Centre complex. The proposal had to take into account the effects of the scheme on the Southbank Conservation Area as well as the setting of a number of sensitive heritage assets including the Palace of Westminster World Heritage Site. The TVIA included consideration of a number of London View Management Framework views.
