27-28 Clements Lane

City of London

This scheme involved the conversion of a Grade II listed late 19th-century commercial building in the heart of The City from offices into a luxury hotel. The scheme also introduced a roof extension on a listed building within the Bank Conservation Area. TTC worked with Studio Moren throughout the design process, assessed the building’s heritage significance, and produced plans clearly illustrating which areas had capacity to accommodate change. TTC also advised on how to develop the massing in a way that responded to the sensitive heritage context and produced an HTVIA that considered the impact on nearby heritage assets and assessed views of the proposal from within the Conservation Area.
