The Townscape Consultancy provided townscape, heritage and visual impact advice for the redevelopment of the New Era Estate on Whitmore Road, Hoxton. Brought forward by the Hill Group and Dolphin Living, the approved scheme will deliver over 200 new homes, alongside retail space and residents’ courtyard, replacing the existing estate with a tiered building ranging in height of up to 14 storeys. Our work considered the site’s sensitive urban context, including its relationship with the Regent’s Canal Conservation Area, nearby listed buildings, local townscape character and key views within the wider Hoxton and Shoreditch setting.
