This scheme occupies a complex site set in the narrow side streets of the Hatton Garden Conservation Area.  Two new buildings, an affordable housing block and a hotel, occupy the previously underused eastern part of the site, facing the refurbished Victorian Ragged School building across a narrow yard characteristic of the area.  New elevations are carefully crafted and avowedly modern, sitting comfortably with the grain and character of this characterful and varied part of the conservation area.
