The Townscape Consultancy provided townscape and visual impact advice for the redevelopment of 27 Uxbridge Road, Hayes. The approved scheme comprises the partial demolition, refurbishment and extension of the existing Hyatt Place hotel, including new side and upward extensions, perimeter blocks around a podium, increased hotel accommodation and new industrial floorspace at ground and first floor levels. Our work assessed the impact of the proposals on the surrounding townscape, including the building’s prominent position on Uxbridge Road and its relationship with neighbouring commercial, industrial and residential areas.
