The IBM Building was completed in 1983 and functioned as an office and client marketing building. It is considered to be Sir Denys Lasdun’s final major work. It has been refurbished and extended following significant archive research into its history and Lasdun’s original design intent for the building. The design delivers efficient, flexible, and sustainable commercial office space, providing a long-term future for the Grade II listed building while also significantly improving its setting within the local conservation area and river frontage. The project won a 2o22 New London Award in the conservation category.
