Meridian Steps is a 41 storey student housing tower in Stratford designed by BDP for Unite Students. It will be one of the UK’s tallest student-housing buildings. The proposal resolves a complex site at a transitional point between the old and new centres of Stratford. It will include a new entrance to the underground and a great uplift to the quality of public realm, as well as the much-needed student accommodation.

We advised on townscape and heritage, the key considerations being the impact of the scheme on views, its contribution to the emerging context of tall buildings, and the indirect effect on surrounding heritage assets.
